A team of researchers recently discovered a specific wooden wardrobe tucked away within an ancient residence located in Pompeii. This particular structure had remained sealed for nearly two thousand years since the catastrophic event that occurred around AD79.

Inside this cabinet, archaeologists found various fragments representing personal objects used by individuals living in the city before its destruction. The collection includes makeup tools alongside a distinct perfume bottle and several ancient coins.

Among the most notable finds was a child's necklace, which offers historians an intimate perspective on daily life within the Roman community during that historical period.

The artifacts were situated in a room belonging to a home found on Via dell'Abbondanza. This street is recognized today as one of the most active and bustling thoroughfares in Pompeii.

These discoveries provide valuable context regarding how ordinary citizens stored their belongings prior to being trapped by volcanic ash from Mount Vesuvius.
